I am happy to announce that CEVA is now a member of the European network on High Performance and Embedded Architecture and Compilation (HiPEAC). Being a member of HiPEAC allows us to expand our European network, and connect with new partners to collaborate on innovative solutions and revolutionary technology.
HiPEAC is an open network, dedicated to research in high-performance and embedded computing systems. With members from both academia and industry, the network stimulates cooperation across different disciplines, including computer architects, design tool builders, compiler builders and system designers. Members of HiPEAC include industry-leading firms such as ARM, Codeplay, Ericsson, Google, Infineon, Intel, Nvidia, Qualcomm and many more, as well as top universities and research labs from 39 countries. If you’re interested, you can learn more directly from the HiPEAC website.
Today, more than ever, technology is reshaping society. The internet of things (IoT) is connecting all the devices and appliances that we use. The way human beings interact with machines is being completely redefined by automatic speech recognition and voice interface technologies. Head mounted displays fuse together input from a variety of sensors, blurring the barriers between physical and virtual reality. Vision technologies are paving the way for autonomous vehicles, and efficient deep learning processors are making it possible for artificial intelligence to fit in the palm of your hand.
CEVA’s technology and intellectual property enable these futuristic scenarios and can be found in leading products in each of the above markets. But, CEVA’s involvement in shaping the future of technology doesn’t stop at commercial success. As part of our vision for a smarter, connected world, we are involved in many research initiatives that combine innovation and social responsibility. CEVA has pioneered and taken part in many technological consortiums and inter-disciplinary projects, like making cities cleaner and more efficient with smart grid technology or keeping produce fresher while reducing pollution with smart food and waste management.
With the rapid advances of technology, and the repercussions it has on how we interact with machines and with each other, it is extremely important that academia and industry join forces. We are enthusiastic about the opportunities that being a member of HiPEAC will create, and look forward to many new and interesting collaborations.
