At the Linley Mobile Conference last month, I presented our CEVA-XM4 intelligent vision processor, which handles signal-processing chains such as 3D vision, object recognition, deep learning algorithms, scanning and other image-enhancement features, within the stringent metrics required for mobile devices.
Following on from this, The Linley Group have published a comprehensive review of the CEVA-XM4 in their Microprocessor Report. To quote from the report: “Purpose-built soft-IP cores like CEVA’s XM4 offer the most area- and power-efficient solution for mobile processors, so we expect them to become commonplace alongside GPUs and ISPs. “
