In tech, we always have a fascination with the next big thing. Breaking news – it’s already here. Smart speakers are on the fastest consumer adoption path since the smart phone; global smart speaker shipments hit 9.2 million units in just the first quarter of this year. This shouldn’t be a surprise. Smartphones gave us a phone, a computer, entertainment, texting navigation and much more in the palm of our hands. Smart assistants give us all of that without the need to hold and type on a device; we simply direct questions and commands to our smart speaker.
