Ceva is looking for an experienced and highly motivated customer-oriented Field application Engineer to join a fast-growing team.

The Position

Senior Field Application Engineer (FAE) for Japan

Job Description:

As part of the Sales Team, you will work with our Regional Sales Managers, Customer Solution Group and Business Units to qualify new sales opportunities and provide technical support to customers evaluating and adopting our products . You will be responsible for convincing and helping customers to design Ceva’s portfolio of products into their product designs and applications. 


Key responsibilities include:

Take an active role in the sales process by managing all the technical issues at your assigned customers

Champion the customer needs and work with our BUs to define, present and demonstrate competitive technical solutions during “pre-sales” stage

Train and support the customers to use and integrate Ceva’s products into their designs  during “post sale” stage.

Document these technical support cases and customer design activities using SFDC (salesforce.com)

Establish and maintain close relationship with the customer’s R&D teams, and gain visibility into their future project schedules and roadmap needs

Understand the competitive landscape and provide inputs and suggestions on how to differentiate Ceva’s solutions

 


Requirements

Job Requirements (Must Have)

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in technical support of programmable microprocessors (DSP, ARM or RISC-V based)  or the development of embedded application software
  • Knowledge of edge AI, imaging and computer vision, audio/voice and sound analytics, or communication systems (e.g. 5G, Bluetooth, UWB, WiFi, etc.) will be an advantage
  • Knowledge of DSP architectures and previous experience in DSP programming will also be an advantage
  • Strong technical skills with a customer-oriented attitude, and a high degree of enthusiasm and energy
  • Self-driven with strong ability to take ownership of customer relationships, solve technical issues and handle solution coordination with the customers and Ceva R&D/Support organization
  • Good communications and listening skills, with the ability to articulate issues and solutions at customers and internally (Japanese-Native, English-proficiency)
  • Team player
  • Willing and capable to travel frequently within Japan and 1 or 2 times per year to overseas. 

Education:

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering (BSEE, MSEE) or related fields
